A very expensive day out for what you see. This is actually a very small deep sea world, you’ll be finished seeing all very quick. There are much bigger ones elsewhere so go to them instead if had more time. Recommend booking online to get a bit of a discount as buying tickets there & then can be costly.

The tunnel is one of the best bits as the sharks go above you. The seals are outside near the cafe and those are nice to see.

Cafe and gift shop itself is also on the pricey-side, and not quite worth the pennies either.

Very nice aquarium with lots of interesting aquatic life. Standing eye to eye with piranhas is exciting, but not nearly as exciting as going through the tunnel aquarium. Being surrounded by sharks, rays and fish is absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you like sea life or want to introduce your Little Ones to the world under the water!

Took my son today and it was amazing to see all kinds of fish that we don't normally seem. We particularly loved going through the longest underwater tunnel in Europe where the fishes were literally swimming on top of us. We also loved the different kinds of frogs, they were pretty cool. The only 2 negative points were the gift shop and the coffee shop. Both very expensive for what they had to offer, I haven't seen a gift shop and a coffee shop so expensive until I went to deep sea world, definitely overpriced. Otherwise we had a good experience and definitely recommend it.

This place is great for kids and adults alike. Great fun and extremely educational. They have the longest moving walkway in Europe, sharks, sting trays not too mention a tank full of piranhas. The seahorses are super cute and tough to spot. The Amazon area is fun looking for well camouflaged dogs and the elusive Max the snake. Finally x I can't forget the awesome seals.
This is the kind of place is ideal if you are heading into or past Edinburgh as it doesn't take too long to go around. We will be back..... might even take the kids

Fantastic day out for kids of all ages, we spent 2 hrs there going round and round the kids loved it. The food was on point too a tad pricey but it was delicious none the less. As for the staff super friendly and very helpful and welcoming all in all worth every penny spent

It's pretty disappointing for the cost. The underwater tunnel was probably the best bit, walking under the swimming sharks and stingray. That took about 10mion to do. Aside from that, there are the seals and a handful of fish tanks. We were done i about 30 minutes and were quite disappointed that there wasn't more to see.

Deep sea world was a nice morning out. We took advantage of the free child entry using the kids ScotRail ticket. However it still was a bit expensive at £17 per adult. The animals were great to see and the kids loved the moving walkway in the underwater tunnel. Seeing sharks and stingrays up close was pretty cool. The gift shop was expensive for what it was selling.

We enjoy visiting here as my toddler loves it. It is a little tired and hasn't changed since I was a kid, but you can get up close to the tanks and the tunnel is always interesting. There are lots of information boards, but these can be a bit small to read easily. However, the staff do regular informative talks. They have some good information about marine conservation and keeping our water clean, but sadly, they have a gift shop full of single use plastics! It doesn't take long to see everything so it can seem expensive. As we live fairly close, it was good to buy an annual pass, this pays for itself in a few visits and is a good option to keep the wee ones entertained.
